How to find temple work data?

Post by _zeezrom »

Can someone remind me where I go to see names of dead people that have had temple work done?

I wanted to see if Amy Winehouse has been baptized yet.

Thank you,

Zee.

She can't have been.

You go to the New Familysearch website. You must have a membership number to use it.

Why do they hide famous names?

Because those are the ones that end up having articles written about them.

My coworker was pretty mad when I told him Mormons baptize in proxy for deceased persons. What if enough people got mad that some states started outlawing work for the dead? Then the temples would have tons of downtime. Well, the SLC temple will always be very busy, I suppose.

Google the article(s) on the Church baptising holocaust victims.
Some people got publicly mad on that one.

How much information does the website give?

Date? Time? Place?

Does it indicate who the proxy was?

Just curious.

My friend just told me my hero, Charlotte Bronte was baptized Mormon in 1876. The 5 points of fellowship occurred a year later.

You know, my fantasies of Charlotte will never be the same.

:(

Who is Charlotte Bronte? I am not familiar with her.

Which kingdom can Hitler inherit now that he has been baptised a Mormon? (And do you think God might fear a take over attempt?)
