People who would not make good Mormons

Post by _DarkHelmet »

Based on a few recent threads, we know that Democrats would not make good Mormons. Also, according to Romney, feminists (which are part of the democrat group) would not make goo Mormons. Obviously gays wouldn't make good Mormons. Since the church is a worldwide church, we might want to consider political parties outside the US. For example, if a person in a socialist country like Finland supported their socialist government, they would not make a good Mormon. I thought we could make a list of the people that need not bother joining the Mormon church. In these trying economic times the church might want to streamline their missionary effort toward people that would make good Mormons.

People that would not make good Mormons:
Gays
Feminists
Democrats
Socialists

People who would make good Mormons:
Republicans

I'd amend your people who would make good Mormons list to read as follows:
White Republicans
Parley P. Pratt wrote:We must lie to support brother Joseph, it is our duty to do so.

B.R. McConkie, © Intellectual Reserve wrote:There are those who say that revealed religion and organic evolution can be harmonized. This is both false and devilish.

Also, my brother was one of those kids who knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life. He went to college right after high school, went to work after college, and pursued his own selfish interests. He had no interest in going on a mission at 19, followed shortly after with marriage and parenthood. He is now in his mid 30s and has finally found a woman to settle down with.

So I would add to the list people who have no interest in letting other people plan their lives for them.

Angry apologists.
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."

People like me would not make good Mormons. I know too much about it. Those well educated about the LDS faith would not make good Mormons.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

General Authorities tend not to make good Mormons...
“We look to not only the spiritual but also the temporal, and we believe that a person who is impoverished temporally cannot blossom spiritually.”
Keith McMullin - Counsellor in Presiding Bishopric

You have quite the narrow world view if those are the only people in the world.
Machina Sublime
Satan's Plan Deconstructed.

Ironically, having a narrow world view is absolutely prerequisite to being a good Mormon. :)

I meant it as a starter list. Sorry I wasn't more clear. I was hoping we could add to it, as some have done. I would love it if you could add some more people to the lists. You seem to be the expert on who is and isn't Mormon material.
