good point. If they were so lazy, how did they end up kicking Nephite ass? They didn't just beat the Nephites. They annihilated them to the point there is no longer any evidence of their existence. What Hitler failed to do to the Jews the "Lazy Lamanites" accomplished against the Nephites.

Substitute "Negro" for "Lamanite" and you have racist propaganda very similar to some of the KKK and KKK-inspired pamphlets / articles that were out there in the late 1950's and early 1960's.
No need to substitute "negro". It's quite racist against Native Americans as it stands.

Not only did they not die they seemed to actually breed as fast as the Nephites even though they were a hunter gatherer race.

I think that's why mopologists have had to say that the Lamanites assimilated with extant groups. Because there's no way with a hunter gatherer lifestyle (which is hard work, by the way) that your population would grow more quickly than with an agrarian (Nephite) lifestyle. Only problem is, of course, the Book of Mormon doesn't mention any groups that didn't come across with Lehi, barring the Jaredites. The land was hidden from everyone else, as affirmed by the Book of Mormon itself and the Apostle Jeff Holland.

So, basically, the "white" people "worked hard" so God blessed them. Prosperity gospel. Oh, and look, they wore "modest" clothing.

This negative stereotype is harmful. It reminds American Indians of the limited ways Mormons see them and interferes with how they can see themselves. It is harmful to non-Indian LDS children too.
