I couldn't make it past the first 100 pages.
edit: I will now stop dominating this thread (for a while). Thanks, all.

I'm glad.

Exactly.
I don't do Facebook and I have a practical joker brother who knows this. He set up a Facebook account using my name in which he gives updates on my Twilight obsession. He is lucky he lives across the country from me.

This is what I am currently reading for fun.
For business all I read is boring books and articles about Vietnam history. If anyone wants books about the Sixties, Vietnam, Peace Movement, Cold War, etc topics I'm your man. Otherwise read about Tyrion Lannister.

I'll shut up now and stopping hogging this thread.
I love and respect you, Morley. But I absolutely hated The Alchemist. It is the only book that I felt like throwing out the window immediately after I had read it.
H.
Try reading it in the original Portuguese. ;)
Por que não??

I liked the first two Ender books, the last two just became more and more tedious and the characters too tiresome to care about. I disliked the last two so much that in spite of having received 5 or 6 books by Card as gifts, I've never read another thing by him.
I remember reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sword_of_Shannara when I was younger (5th grade). Sure it was a fantasy novel, but it opened my brain to the idea that it was through books that I could understand and appreciate everything else. It might be a Lord of the Rings imitator, but man it was written very well. I went on to read the rest of the trilogy.
If you're looking for something in the fantasy realm, and is engaging enough to keep you turning the pages then this might be something you want to check out.

Post Script- by the way, the art was amazing for a 5th grader to see. :)
