Shows you have no idea what it means to be inactive. I tried to explain it to you over on MDD but it went over your head. Or you didn't see it.

As far as Joseph Smith being a fraud..perhaps you can relate just how the Book of Mormon came to be.

What does that matter? That's like saying that, unless I can explain exactly how it was done, I must concede that David Copperfield actually did make the statue of liberty disappear. Surely you are smarter than this.

What part did she get wrong, that you are inactive or that you believe?

Another former tbm who hasn't a clue what it means to be inactive. But that is not the fault of the former tbms. It has more to do with how such members were seen by such former tbms who may have been judgemental of inactives.

I don't judge you for your inactivity, but I agree with Liz that it is awfully strange that you keep passing judgment on people who actually have been active in the church. It seems to me that you don't know any more about being active in the church (or about leaving the church) than someone like Liz does about being inactive, and yet you continue to be highly judgmental of people you can't possibly understand.

That if one is inactive one cannot defend the LDS faith. Or that it is a contradiction. There is no contradiction. But it does show a misunderstanding of what it means to be inactive. And she had that misunderstanding as a tbm.

And so runtu, who are now the tbms on this forum?

I have no problem with you defending the faith, but I do have a problem when you pass judgment on people who actually do have the strength of conviction to live up to what they believe.

And so runtu, who are now the tbms on this forum?

They tend to be in three camps:

1. Cherry-picking rationalizers.
2. Right-wing fanatics.
3. All of the above.

I am around active people quite often. I just had lunch with the branch president and the missionaries. I know active people and the many ways they live life. And they are not the same nor are their opinions.

Well, good for you. I know inactive people and am around them all the time (kind of goes with the territory living here). I just had lunch with an inactive RM who works with me last week. I know inactive people and the many ways they live life. And they are not the same nor are their opinions.

Why do you think you are the only one who gets to lump all of us apostates together?

And who are they by name? I see very few who post here on a regular basis. This board is a half way house for members who need antimormon missionary discussions to get a full conversion out of the church. Just me had many such discussions.

And so, the board has become a antimormon board with very few balanced discussions about Mormonism.
