And so, the board has become a antimormon board with very few balanced discussions about Mormonism.

The TBMs I know here are:

mentalgymnast
Radex

Another former tbm who hasn't a clue what it means to be inactive. But that is not the fault of the former tbms. It has more to do with how such members were seen by such former tbms who may have been judgemental of inactives.

Back up, Why Me! I have NEVER been judgemental of inactives. My little brother is inactive, and he is awesome.

YOU are the one being jugemental here. And that is why I have had to constantly rip you a new one.

If you could simply acknowledge that everyone has to follow their own path, I would leave you alone. But you refuse to do that.

Why are you judging everyone else when you, who claims that you believe, have made a conscious choice not to live up to your covenants?

Well, good for you. I know inactive people and am around them all the time (kind of goes with the territory living here). I just had lunch with an inactive RM who works with me last week. I know inactive people and the many ways they live life. And they are not the same nor are their opinions.

Why do you think you are the only one who gets to lump all of us apostates together?

I am not. But liz and others are lumping all inactives together when she implies that it is odd to defend the church when one is inactive.

People here do have different opinions and personalities. But for most the objective is the same: to see only negatives about the LDS faith, mock its leaders and hope to get a wavering member to do antimormon missionary work. And lets face it, most tbms would not touch this forum with a ten foot pole. And that says much about the forum.

Damn straight. That's exactly why I get on why me's case. He's happy to live life on his terms, but he condemns others for doing the same thing.

I can think of maybe one or two people here who actually give a crap about talking to wavering members. You're doing it again: lumping us all together, pretending to know our motives and objectives. Seriously, I am sick of you passing judgment on us as if you had any moral standing whatsoever. You couldn't care less about treating us as people; we're just cardboard villains you can lob insults at.

And would you find it strange if your brother would defend the LDS church?

I don't think that just me is following her own path. Her post sounded like very many other postmo posts. In fact, put her freedom post along with zee's freedom post you will see a similiar tone. My point with just me was that she should have come clean long ago. I read her posts and saw where she was heading. I knew that she was mentally out of the church looking for support from the exmormons here. And I knew that she wasn't active. And so to read her post on the OP was of no surprise to me.

But it certainly made her silence in church very clear.

It is not odd to defend the Church when you are inactive. I have no problem with you, as a believing, inactive member, defending the Church.

I DO have a problem with you making judgemental statements about people who have chosen a different path, looking down your nose at them, and lumping anyone who has views different from your own into one big group of apostates.

Seriously, go “F” yourself. You have absolutely no right to pass judgment on the sincerity and experience of JM, Zee, or anyone else.

Yes, it's terrible that an unbeliever would go to church to keep the peace at home. What the hell is wrong with you?

That is because he chose inactivity over keeping the peace, and what did it get him? A failed marriage and a judgemental soul.

Tell you what, Why Me---

If you don't like "anti-Mormon missionary discussions," then come up with something to say other than "Nuh-uh" and arguments by repetition that are like reading posts by a brainwashed chatbot.

And stop claiming to be one of the defenders of the Church when you think it's perfectly fine under LDS standards for unmarried people to dry “F” in their underwear.

And stop with your creepy stalking and lecturing Just Me.

And stop playing the persecution card. The reason people don't like you isn't because you're nominally a Mormon. They don't like you because you're a dickhead.
