I had to know for myself if this was the Lord’s Church.

"In the FLDS faith, I found a sweet, humble, love-your-neighbor lifestyle, with no force, with free choice to be who you want to be, where you want to be, and how you want to be. These people are Builders, Workers, Thinkers, Doers—hardly the oppressed or deprived people we’ve been accused of being.

I had to know for myself if this was the Lord’s Church. In the first epistle of James, chapter one, verse five, the Apostle says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” I believed, I asked, and I received an assurance that this was where I should be in the sight of God.

Personal revelation lead this good sister into the arms of the FLDS church. Truly, it is a marvelous work and a wonder!

She obviously got the wrong answer, or misinterpreted it. Personal revelation can lead you to the wrong decision. If you ask with a sincere heart, you may receive the right answer, but you also might receive the wrong answer or you might interpret the right answer incorrectly. So you need to pray again to find out if the answer you received was right or wrong, or if you interpreted it correctly. You will then receive an answer that might be the right answer, or it might be the wrong answer or you might interpret it incorrectly. So you repeat the process again for that question. Or you can talk to missionaries, or to a bishop or SP, but they are just people with opinions, and their opinions can't be trusted

You can keep playing this game, or you can just use your brain.

In other cases where believers feel the spirit in relation to their practices, apologists are quick to dismiss them because they don't use a methodology identical to Moroni 10 (even though we don't use it that much either - Missionaries are quick to tell investigators that ANY feeling of the spirit had while in church or reading scripture counts as revelation that the church is true). The FLDS is great because they don't have that out. They use the exact same method, but receive different messages from God.

Everyone comes to Truth by Study and by Faith.....

Just because humans are fallible and things in the world are fallible doesn't mean the process isn't valid.
We ALL must do our best to come to the truth.

If different people follow the same process yet come to completely different conclusions then the process is not valid.

I agree. You LDS need to keep studying and praying until God confirms to you that Warren Jeffs is his prophet in these latter days.

Interestingly, potential converts who follow the process and do not receive the 'right' answer, are encouraged to keep repeating the same process in the expectation that they will get a different result at some point.

To be fair, Warren is the only Mormon Prophet currently receiving revelations directly from God...

Liars are a special case..... They are seduced by the dark side of the force.
They cross a line into bigotry, into intolerance, cruelty, bully syndrome.
You all wonder why I'm so condemnatory of you, it's because since I was young I beat up Bullies.... Not going to stop simply because I'm on the internet.

Your behavior is unacceptable.... You cry about mine, but I'm not the first cause. My abuse is justified.
