Joseph was close to Bennett. Fact.

Bennett was an abortionist. Fact.

One witness says that Bennett performed abortions on women who Joseph impregnated. Fact.

Did it happen? Maybe. Or maybe Joseph just pulled out or used the crude condoms of the day. There's certainly more evidence for abortion than there is for any dynastic, platonic sealing model.

Edit: Bennett, not Law

It wasn't Law. It was Bennett.

So how many girls under 18 does one have to marry to be considered a pedophile?

Potentially none by definition. By this logic, you're accusing every Jr high school student (or everyone who ever was) of being a pedophile.

Joseph wasn't technically a pedophile because his PRIMARY interest wasn't teenage girls. However his relationship with Helen Mar Kimball could only be described as pedophilic, given the later age for puberty at the time.

It wasn't Law. It was Bennett.

And Bennett was a physician, not an abortionist. We also have only accusations, not facts. In addition, Bennett came late to the movement so he's not around during much of Joseph Smith's married life. So, no abortionist, just 18th century and horndog which continues to beg the question "Have you checked the children?".

Joseph Smith said he was an abortionist. Did Joseph lie?

Bennett came just in time. Joseph was marrying other men's wives earlier, so no need to cover up a pregnancy.

Even teenage girls don't fall under the definition of pedophilia. On top of that, you have no evidence as to the status of HMK's puberty so you've been reduced to making a hopeful and yellow journalistic assumption because you have a chestnut to protect.

So, Hyrum Smith lied about the abortions?

In addition, Bennett came late to the movement so he's not around during much of Joseph Smith's married life.

True, but he was around during most of Joseph's plural married life.

So, no abortionist, just 18th century and horndog which continues to beg the question "Have you checked the children?".

I didn't know Joseph lived in the 18th century. As for the children, Olive Frost's child and Josephine Lyon are pretty good candidates, thus far not refuted.
