I know this is one that many are familiar with, but I have to share it anyway!
Today we are in Genesis!
"22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of."
Remember that God is great! Don't get too attached to your children because one day God might ask you to sacrifice them. Pray that he will let you do it in a way that is humane!

Today we learn about the test that God puts us through!
This comes from Matthew 7
"7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
Isn't it good to know that God's test is hard enough that only a few people will be able to pass it!?! I mean, most people in this world are deserving of the eternal fire that awaits them! Heaven will be an exclusive club for members! Thank you God!

"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak .... If they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home."--1 Corinthians 14:34-35
Isn't it good to know that God wants women to keep quiet during church! They are so noisy! You wouldn't be able to hear anything. God knows all things and prepares a way for us!

Here we have another lesson in obedience to God!
This comes to us from 1 Chronicles 13
"13:9 And when they came unto the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.
13:10 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God."
This is a great lesson for us! We can't disobey God even if our intentions are good because God may kill us on the spot! God demands obedience!

Today we learn about the importance of Circumcision!
Genesis 17
"17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
17:14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant."
Isn't it great that God gave us this foreskin so that we could cut it off to demonstrate our dedication? What a blessing it is. Also he let's us know that those who are not circumcised will be cut off from his people!

"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." 1 Samuel 15:3
Aren't the works of God mysterious? He will eliminate the filthy from among us! Even the filthy newborns! I challenge all of you to mentally prepare yourself in case God ever asks you to do the same! Killing children and infants won't be easy, but we must do as God commands!

Here is another story of faith!
1 Kings
"17:10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
17:11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
17:12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
17:13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
17:14 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.
17:15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
17:16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah."
The moral of this story is that even if you don't have enough food to feed yourself and your son you should provide for the servants of God first! What great faith! But in today's wicked society the CPS would take our children away if we did this. How wicked is our society for not trusting in God!

How I wish that I had lived in these times! We could silence all of those pesky atheists once and for all! So they could no longer blaspheme the name of the Lord our God!
