Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

Seth, that is awesome.
I'm an engineering guy so maybe someone can explain to me the meaning of this picture (not Seth's, the original). I see Stalin, Napoleon, Hitler, Castro, the Pope, Mother Teresa, Darwin (I think), Bin Laden, etc., but I have no idea what the point is. And what is the guy in the suit doing?

I think the artist is unhinged.

You haven't been introduced to the awesomeness that is McNaughton. If you go to his website, you can scroll over sections of his paintings where he will explain what his intent was with every square inch.
The sith looking guy is McNaughton's representation of Satan, by the way. My absolute favorite part of the Chthulu parody is Satan in the corner being horrified at what Chthulu has wrought.

Thank you, Seth. I laughed a good laugh.

I'll have to check out his website when it is back up again. The Drudge Report has picked up his painting of Obama and I'm sure his site is experiencing a massive surge in traffic.

Yes. Here is the article Drudge picked up:

He has some very excellent ideas to communicate. Tell the scops!

I believe this artist has a talent for reducing the sublime to the ridiculous.
Maybe he can explain why he has Obama (on the left) balanced with Joseph Smith (in the right just over Stalin's shoulder).
I guess two Joe's are better than one.
All the Best!

Sethbag,
Did you do this PhotoShop job?
If so, I am really impressed.
Perhaps you could find the time to fix up his other atrocious paintings for those of us who are no longer TBM.

Thanks! Yeah I've been doing the chicken ones, and last year I did one with that famous Jesus painting of him holding the US Constitution, except I made him holding a copy of Obama's birth certificate. In the lower right you'll see someone not too happy about it... ;-)
I'm not actually very good at Photoshop. Anyone else here who does Photoshop even a little is probably better at it than me. I've been interested in photography for a long time and I've used Photoshop for years to do simple touch-up work on some of my photos. Doing these photoshop job actually pushed my meager skillz further than they'd been before, and I had to learn some new stuff to do them. Stuff that any self-respecting Photoshopper could do in their sleep.
Anyhow, here's the birth certificate one from last year. Also, I don't know if you saw my Warren Jeffs photoshop hack that I did a few weeks ago. It's him sitting in Liberty Jail. ;-)
