Mormons and Moonies.....

Post by _Daheshist »

Sun Myung-Moon claims to be the Lord of the second advent, the Messiah. Jesus appeared to him in his "first vision" at age 16 in the mountains of Korea. Sound familiar? Anyway, according to Moon's theology, Jesus came NOT to be crucified, but rather to get married, and have sinless children. These sinless children would have other sinless children, until, after about 1000 years, the entire world will be filled with sinless people, because the "sinless gene" would be passed on to everyone by then. But, Jesus was not able to fulfill His role as Heavenly Parent, and was crucified; which was an unfortunate mistake, according to Moon.

So, Jesus appears to Moon when he was 16, telling Moon that He (Jesus) did not accomplish the task as Heavenly Parent, and that Moon had to finish what He (Jesus) was unable to do. So, relunctantly, Moon accepts the job. Now, when Moon has sex with a female, it purifies her, making her "sinless". Many claimed that when Moon first got started, he had sex with lots of women, to make them sinless. Is that true or not? I have no idea. But that is what some early Moonies claim. But, anyway, Moon deserts his first wife and child, and then finds another woman, and marries her. Because Moon is sinless, having sex with her makes her sinless, and of course, when sinless people have children, the children must also be sinless; born without original sin. They would marry, have sex with their spouse, who would then become sinless too, and they would have sinless children, and so on. It would take hundreds of years, but, over time, this sinless gene would pass around the world, and, eventually, all would be born sinless, and the Earth would be Paradise. That is Moonie theology.

Well, of course, Moon and his wife were called "True Parents". That is their title. They are the first sinless couple. They had children, I think 6 sons and a few daughters. Remember, all these sons and daughters had to be sinless, because the True Parents are sinless. Well, of course, his eldest son was a drunk and cocaine user who used to cheat on his wife and abuse her. She divorced him. Another son committed suicide by jumping off the roof of a casino hotel, in Vegas or Reno (forget which). Well, ok, its time to ask Rev. Moon: "Hey, I thought all your kids were supposed to be sinless????" Well, of course, you can't ask that question! How DARE you ask that question! If you even ask that question, the Moonies think you are possessed by Satan. So, there it is, the Big Contradiction....the True Children must be sinless, but one of Moon's sons was FAR from sinless. So, what about it? How does Moon explain it? HE DOESN'T!!!! Asking him such questions is like asking President Monson such questions. You won't get a reply, other than "See your bishop!" and your bishop will threaten to excommunicate you if you ask it twice. Same with the Moonies. They can't ask!

Moon still have about 45,000 in the U.S. and about 1 million in the rest of the world. Do they ever ask "Hey.....what about the son who was a drunk and cocaine user? What about the son who commmitted suicide? Is that NOT a sin? I've heard stories that he was a drunk who used to beat his wife and others? What about it?" You can't ask that. And a True Believing Moonie would NEVER think of asking that question. To ask it would be unthinkable. Moon is the Messiah. How do they know? They've prayed about it. God told them he was the Messiah. That's all they need to know!

How do I know that Doctor Dahesh was a true Prophet? I prayed about it, and He came to visit me, in broad daylight, in my room in 2005. In the afternoon. I was wide awake, and had been for hours. No medications. No head injuries. Not waking up. Not sleepy. That's how "I" know Dr. Dahesh was a true Prophet, because He died in 1984.

Smart people can believe very dumb things.
Zadok:
I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

Would you believe your own eyes and ears? I do, and that is why I believe in Dr. Dahesh. He visited me in 2005. Not drunk (I never drink). Not on medications legal or otherwise. No head injuries. Light of day in the afternoon (during a lightning storm). Not expecting anything on that day. I believe my eyes, and my ears.
