How much time and money did the church spend fighting against the winds of change? Yet, despite the church's efforts, we continue to move forward and progress. For some reason the church usually ends up on the wrong side of history.

From being the only slave state in the West to participating in the Red Scare and fighting against civil liberties for blacks, the church is consistently on the wrong side of history.

I heard figures of $20,000,000.00 donated by Church members, about half of what was raised to pass it. What a waste of money, especially coming from a religious organization. Even if that money had been used to build the City Creek Mall it would have been better spent. Millions of dollars spent to define a term so we can 'protect' children from gender confusion. What nonsense.

I get hit on by dudes almost as often as I get hit on by good looking chicks, ain't flying gay colours either. It's just some cloak the gays will use as an excuse to hit on me... But i'd rather be hit on by a good looking guy as opposed to an Ugly Chick because ugly chicks are weak mentally!

The is a strong connection between ugly and stupidity that usually manifests itself on the other side of the bed after a night of binge drinking.

Right, I didn't mean to imply that marriages were resuming, just that they are now legal again (once the stay burns off, assuming another is not put in place, which is certainly a possibility--the appellants will have to ask for a new stay, though).

BC,The decision may or may not be wrong in law.
The decision may be (and I would argue is) wrong as a matter of morality.
But to accuse the court of corruption on no other ground that it has reached a morally wrong decision is seriously overreaching.
Courts are not there to do what is right; they are there to do what is legal.
You don't go to court to get justice; you go there to get judgement. In that respect, both sides got what they asked for.
And since neither you nor I nor any other supporter of marriage integrity has any evidence that the judges did anything other than weigh the facts before them in the light of the law as they understood it, the charge of corruption is uncharitable and unsupportable.

God almighty.
I knew Pahoran was not an unintelligent person (it takes someone with a modicum of cleverness to be so nasty in so many different ways). But it restores some of my faith in the human brain to find that Pahoran's intellect has led him to a reasonable conclusion in a context where one might have expected his prejudices to be so fully operative.
