they will ensure that a Mormon Theocracy is instituted in the US.

"Presidential hopeful and GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney also voiced his opposition to the ruling, saying that "unelected judges cast aside the will of the people of California who voted to protect traditional marriage.""

"He also said that the ruling showed how important the 2012 presidential election would be.

"I believe marriage is between a man and a woman and, as president, I will protect traditional marriage and appoint judges who interpret the Constitution as it is written and not according to their own politics and prejudices," Romney said."

"Sen. Orrin Hatch strongly condemned this turn in a long debate about who has the right to marry, and who has the right to define marriage.

"Today two federal judges substituted their own values for those of the seven million Californians who enacted Proposition 8," Hatch said. "This is judicial activism at its worst, and I strongly oppose this decision. This decision was not about the law, but about judges taking power away from the people."

He went on to point out that the Ninth Circuit has traditionally been considered quite liberal, and their decision was "par for the course.""

Good to hear both Romney and Hatch support bigoted legislation and oppose attempts to overturn it on a constitutional basis. Good to hear also that Romney doesn't understand the role of the legislative branch.

So Mitt is for "traditional marriage," eh? What a sick “F”. Here's traditional marriage explained by America's Best Christian, Betty Bowers:

What a bunch of rhetorical crap. The judges did not over turn the will of millions. The difference in prop 8 passing and going down to defeat was about 600,000 votes out of 13.5 million.

Sad. I am planning on voting for Mitt, but when he says crap like this he is going to piss off the Independents out there that he needs if he is going to defeat Obama. Of course these judges are unelected. Their job is to interpret the laws. They can't let the majority pass laws that discriminate against a minority. The only recourse minority groups have when the majority passes discriminatory laws are the "unelected judges" that Mitt seems to despise. Using Mitt's logic, a state could pass a proposition saying marmonism is not a religion and therefore they do not get the legal benefits afforded religions in the state, and the Mormons would have no legal recourse because it was the will of the people.

Which wasn't the case for Prop 8.

Which means in fact that the judges overturned the will of millions, the difference not being equal to the numbers who voted for it.
