Actually, Paul, gay marriage IS legal in the U.S. It is simply not legal in ALL states.

Of course, I know that, silly you! ;-)

But when it comes to gay marriage the States are not United yet. The supreme court will fix that soon enough and 50 years from now people will wonder why it took so long for gays to achieve equality in a free society. Perhaps, by then, the Mormon church may well accept gay orientation as a normal part of human life and welcome diversity. The LDS apologists will simply do their thing and we'll be long dead.
