I have a relative who, upon hearing about this exquisite and detailed model, speculated that it would help ease the pain for those who can't go inside the Temple to attend a sealing.

"I'm sorry you can't be there for our wedding mom, but here's a model that shows you in tiny detail the room we'll be in, so you can stand here for 2 hours and imagine being with us in that room."

Yes, makes perfect sense. Instead of coming into a building you are barred from, stare at this smaller replica of the same building which you are barred from.
