It looks like Radex thinks Downton Abbey is reality TV...
“We look to not only the spiritual but also the temporal, and we believe that a person who is impoverished temporally cannot blossom spiritually.”
Keith McMullin - Counsellor in Presiding Bishopric

In what capacity?

There are many American expressions that have found their way into the speech of educated British English speakers of the level you are trying to mimic. But 'here's the kicker' is not one of them.

I take that as a serious compliment. My son has been saying "Americanisms" for quite some time now, and it's rubbed off on me.

I am far from educated, though, Chap.

(Why pretend to be a Brit when you clearly are not? Are you trying to conceal the fact that you are in fact someone else? If so, it might be wise to change more than your diction.)

Oh, I'm not a Brit. Hell, I don't even sound British anymore.

Should I have mentioned that I loved MAD because on that board... the only Mormons who quit were the mods and I much rather be challenged by the best they can offer.

I'm very disappointed to see that when removed from the holy environment of agreeable apologetics, all Mormons give up trying to wrap their heads around a critique of the Mormon paradigm without the presupposition that the paradigm explains anything. That's why you can trust it to serve itself in any circumstance, even fallaciously for those question which don't presupposes it's only foundation.

I find it more and more telling each time an apologists can only muster a response from the "top floor" of belief as the only support for the building's foundation. One might say a great and spacious building which, when clearly viewed from the outside, only supposes the top floor supports itself, so that you can remain believing you've found the "highest" perspective.

As I said, when you argue something that, at the very least, orbits around the teachings of the LDS faith, I may address it. For now, you're so far off base that there is little point in engaging.

Also, esoteric or uncommon words may serve to intimidate where you're from, but they just help people to realise how dependent you might be upon a thesaurus to sound more educated.

Good day.

And yet they booted you off, without so much as a by your leave or have an apple.

So sad.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Gee, Radex is just this simple guy from down on the jolly old farm.

Seriously, there were no words in Alfredo's post more 'esoteric' or 'Intimidating' than .... well, such words as 'esoteric' or 'Intimidating' in Radex's post.

If you want to see serious thesaurus abuse, try Droopy. Oh, wait, Droopy is TBM so we shall hear nothing from Radex on the subject of his style.

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

OK, dog. We can be mostly done.

I'll sharpen this argument for later...
