What does "/that upset guy in your class" mean?

A Predominant LDS attorney Mr. Sigefired signed his name then wrote "/MF" (which I'm guessing means Mormon Forever) at the end of a correspondence. I still have the letter in my records. I do realize Mormons are "devout" in their faith, first to lower themselves to violent horrific acts, most want to see me dead, but he didn't need to rub it in my face like that. I just gave him my story about the misplaced documents.

Perhaps Mr. Sigefired should ask an Apostle, Gov. Huntsman or Gov. Hubert if they are familiar with the sound of a dial-up modem?

It was in relation to Mr. Antley's post...he upset a member of a class he was teaching by saying something slightly unorthodox. It was a joke.

I'll stand guard at the North York border in hopes of catching them trying to sneak into Toronto.

We're headed for Alberta. Nice try.

In traditional correspondence, the "/" followed by initials indicates the person who transcribed the document - usually a secretary or assistant.

In modern parlance, placing a "/" in front of a phrase is similar to an end quote, or signifies the end of some type of style. This comes from the hypertag </> which indicates the close of a section.

There is a plan in the works to have LDST detained in California until the meeting is over. What we are hoping to do is play Antley's presentation live to LDST while he's being water boarded.

Thanks LDST.

I got the joke, It's just the second time I've seen the </> used that way.

Joseph,

Do you believe more LDS members should post here using their given name?

You haven't been reprimanded by you leaders, You were infact advanced in your faith. As you say, it had nothing to do with your Apologetics.

We know the GAs are reading these boards to some extent. So what, if anything do TBMs stand to loose by posting here.

I don't think it really matters.

I don't think many believing LDS don't use their real names because they're afraid of being reprimanded by their leaders. And I was not "advanced" because of anything I've said or not said on these boards, and I hope I needn't point out that LDS do not look at callings as "advancements."

We know the GAs are reading these boards to some extent.

Considering the large number of GAs, I guess statistically that it's possible. I have no reason to believe any of them regularly read this board, however.

So what, if anything do TBMs stand to loose by posting here.

Beats me. Some people might have their reasons.

That settles that then. "some" may have their reasons but most have nothing to loose. The GA's said to take a stand against this type of internet slander last conference, so their reason for not posting is they're yella. If they wern't yella they'd be setting this board straight by the numbers. But the fact they aren't suggests the apostasy "is" really happening.

You're a young member Joseph; are their butts in the salt lake youth ward houses when or if you've made the trip from provo?(nobody wants to pay 10,000 a semester)... Remember a GA might be reading this.
