I was embarrassed to say anything, but when I tried to navigate here from Google earlier, all of the sudden various hardcore pornography websites started to open. Thank Jebus that my wife was not looking over my shoulder at the time, or any of my kids for that matter, because it could have gotten really ugly. I am no prude about porn, but this was some really vile stuff. I kind of wondered whether my link to an article about certain supporter of Romney might have made MDB a target.

I have had some signs of the odd site earlier today - you try for MDB, you see it, it disappears briefly and the alien site starts to load, then disappears, followed by the reappearance of MDB. And MDB got quite slow for a while.

But now the site is back up to speed, and I get straight through to MDB without interuption. I am using Lion, on a Mac (sorry bcspace ... ). I have switched on Trusteer protection for passwords on this website, but that was after the site had already returned to normal.

At no stage has pornography appeared.

I did a brief search and found out that .nu, the top-level domain of the redirected site, is the TLD for the tiny Polynesian island nation of Niue.

According to Wikipedia,
