THE CHURCH OF ZION: for former Mormons and other Seekers
The Church of Zion is for former Mormons and other Seekers of Truth. The "religion" of the Church of Zion is "Seekerism"; meaning the belief that all religions have Truth, and we are to see the Truth in all religions.

Do all Religions contain all of the truth?

I would say all religions contain "some" Truth. Naturally, I think that Daheshism has the "fulness" of Truth. I don't think the LDS Church has the "fulness" of Truth.
The Church of Zion will not be "dogmatic" and say "You MUST believe this and that". Rather, it will present various things, like a smorgasbord of beliefs, and let the members have a little "taste" of everything out there.

But you recognise that once upon a time you did believe the LDS Church had the fullness of the truth. But it didn't.
Doesn't it therefore follow that you could be equally wrong about Daheshistism?

How much money do they want?
I'm the apostate your bishop warned you about.

I don't now how much the "tithing" will be. That will be up to the Board of Trustees. I won't be among them. In fact, the Church of Zion will be a Utah church, and I have no plans to live in Utah. However, I have suggested:
5% for Trustees (leaders)
1% of Fellows (members)
5% for Trustees (leaders)
1% of Fellows (members)

Does this "follow" logically?
I once believed that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet, and now I believe that Dr. Dahesh is a true Prophet, so it follows that since I was wrong about Joseph Smith I also must be wrong about Dr. Dahesh.
That "logic" is like this: "I once believed that Sun Myung Moon was Messiah, but I was wrong, but now I believe that Jesus is Messiah, so I MUST ALSO BE WRONG...since I was wrong about Moon I must also be wrong about Jesus."
So, no....your "logic" does not follow.
This follows:
"I was wrong about Joseph Smith so I may also be wrong about Dr. Dahesh"
That follows. I "may" be wrong. But, Dr. Dahesh visited me in my room in daylight in 2005 in answer to prayer. How much more "faith" do I need in Him?
Dr. Dahesh is Jesus reincarnated. He died in 1984. He visited me in 2005. What "room" do I have for "faith"?
I have knowledge.

If the church paid me 1% or 5% of what I make, I'd join. You should recommend that to the board.

Re: THE CHURCH OF ZION: for former Mormons and other Seekers
Nobody in the Church of Zion will have a salary or "make money" from the tithing of members; unlike the LDS Church where the General Authorities make salaries as well as "bonuses" by sitting on Boards of Church owned businesses. All will be 100% volunteer in the Church of Zion.
There will be a "Holy Order" of people who work full-time for the Church, but they will live in poverty, communally. These will be retired people, and people on disability. Communal living. Each will have their own room, but they will share meals. Most members of the Church of Zion will not be members of the Holy Order.

I think how it works is that the Church of Zion contains all of the truth some of the time, and some of the truth all of the time. All that really matters is that you take Darrick's word for it and your tithing check doesn't bounce.Drifting wrote:Do all Religions contain all of the truth?
