As part of the earlier test, I removed the names, out of respect for those Jewish people who do not want their relative's names associated with the LDS church.

I never thought this would turn into such a kerfuffle and I certainly didn't expect to be labeled a fraudster. So, later today, when I am at home, and supper has been cooked and supped upon, I am going to re-submit a Jewish name and am going to take screen shots to show the crack security system that is in place. A documentary posting will be made on the internet and I will link here. Finally, I will remove the Jewish name once I am finished.

LDST, what rankles them isn't that you were deceptive or fraudulent, but that you showed how easy it is to get such names past the nonexistent safeguards. I'd love to see you document this. Anyone who has done any name submissions knows how easy it is to do. Maybe it's time for me to finish my article on celebrity baptisms for the dead.

Typically, guys like Pahoran and Scott “Scotti Dawg” Lloyd are all about situational ethics and just use said ethics as a club, with no real regard for anything else.

in my opinion you should submit this documentation to the Jewish leaders the church has made the previous agreements with. They deserve to know how little the church has done to honor their agreement.

Yep.

LDSToronto submits bogus names as a test of the church's alleged safeguards: despicable fraud and dishonesty.

Joseph Smith publicly denies practicing polygamy after he has married some 33+ women: not in the least dishonest.

No...wait...

The Church pronounced (on the back of the Anne Frank fiasco) that...

It takes a good deal of deception and manipulation to get an improper submission through the safeguards we have put in place.

Can anyone show how LDST used a great deal of deception and manipulation to get past these sophisticated 'safeguards' that the Church has put in place?

Thought not.

The Church was lying about protecting the names of dead Jews from being improperly submitted. Is this the third or fourth time they've lied about the exact same thing since 1996?

Any CEO with a modicum of moral integrity would resign on the back of a single repetition of this kind of lapse in security, let alone numerous repeated breaches over a long period of time.

The least Monson could do is stand down, although on second thoughts, that might mean a native of Germany getting the top job. Probably not the most tactful thing the Church could do at this juncture...

These posters at the other board are such great jokers, of course. Totally harmless, all of them.

They had us all going, thinking that they would really follow through on all that talk about getting IP addresses, alerting church HQ etc - right?

Well unless ldst is using a static ip, he is nated at his isp and assigned an ip via dhcp. It would take a court order to get the isp to reveal the owner of the ip.

Only if the "fraud"was be pursued as a criminal case and not an internal church disciplinary action, would the isp reveal him. Baring a court order, there is no way the isp is giving him up.

And if he is in Toronto then they would need an international subpoena.... Good luck with that.

Why would they need court orders and subpoena's to discover LDS Toronto's identity? That's man's way. They have the priesthood. If they wanted to, they could determine his identity through the power of God. They just don't feel like doing that right now. But they could if they wanted to.
