Palmer is relying on statements by William Law. You have claimed that An Insider's Guide to Mormon Origins is the typical froth that anti-Mormons drink (or whatever), even though you obviously have not read it. Since you are asserting that William Law is an unreliable source and a liar (defamation means you are lying), and you are claiming that Palmer is after his 15 minutes of fame and has written anti-Mormon drivel, the clear implication is that Palmer is lying by relying on an untrustworthy, dishonest source that is allegedly widely known in Mormon circles to be such.
So inviting you to demonstrate where the book is lying, where Palmer is lying, or where William Law was lying are simply different ways of phrasing the same substantive question.
I seem to recall that Simon Belmont spent many a word on this board in defaming this exact book without ever looking beyond its outer jacket.
Deja vu?

I guess Bushman is not credible, as he cites to Law's diary multiple times in Rough Stone Rolling. I guess Bushman is just peddling "hearsay and rancid drivel," too.

The Church has a massive problem with this book. It's about time they came out and explained what lies are contained within it. They won't.

Interesting that the only response has been through unofficial apologetic publications. The church often makes official statements when they feel they have been misrepresented in the press. But when a member publishes problematic things, the only response is to try to silence him.

I'm sorry Darth J, you'll need to speak to other forum members about this. I have really tried to understand where you are coming from when reading several of your posts, but they make no sense to me and I have no idea how to respond to you. The comments I made were about an entirely different thread and were about a podcast that Grant did on sexual allegations against Joseph Smith.

Went back and clarified things for you. Didn't help though. Your statement now appears even more internally inconsistent and self-contradictory than it did before.

Well, in that case, just ignore me. I can't help you.

I believe you.
The comments I made were about an entirely different thread and were about a podcast that Grant did on sexual allegations against Joseph Smith.
And the OP in this current thread indicates a question specifically about the relationship between Palmer's statements on a podcast and his book.
