Yes and no. She likes the socializing and doing things with other girls her age, but we've had real problems with the den leader. The girls worked real hard in raising money on several occasions and then the money disappeared, and they didn't get their patches. She kept promising them but they never turned up. She was very furtive when questioned about it, and changed her stories on several occasions.

It looks like some organizational changes have come down the pike since then, so perhaps things will improve.

If your granddaughter initiates a giveaway of her candy to other, less fortunate girls; or begins denying that the Bunny laid colored eggs for our sins; or starts winking suggestively at the other girls while they’re pinning badges to her vest--get her out of the program. Get her out before she slips in, on stocking feet, in the wee of the night, and cuts your throat from ear to ear while you lie peacefully dreaming of dear Ms Rand.

It's probably good for her, Droopy, since it will expose her to the experience of paying tithing.
