So the Church is officially saying they don't know anything about the restriction except that it is over? Well guess what, as long as the Church doesn't step up with a good explanation, people like Dr. Bott are going to try and come up with an explanation

The doctrine, even prior to 1978 was still that we don't know why. For example, the 1969 FP statement:

From the beginning of this dispensation, Joseph Smith and all succeeding presidents of the Church have taught that Negroes, while spirit children of a common Father, and the progeny of our earthly parents Adam and Eve, were not yet to receive the priesthood, for reasons which we believe are known to God, but which He has not made fully known to man."

The 1949 statement didn't answer the question either.

And the racism is glaringly obvious in the revelations of Facsimile No.3 wherein Joseph Smith called an Egyptian god a slave just because he's black. So far, no General Authorities (apostles & prophets) have commented on this gross error and made any kind of explanation about the Explanation. Only silly school teachers like dumb-ass Hugh Nibley has said anything but we know that BYU faculty doesn't represent the church and they don't know jack crap about Facsimile No. 3, including the dumb-ass John Gee or Dan Peterson. These guys don't represent the church. I can speak up for the church with just as much authority on these matters as they can and I'm a gay apostate!
