In such cases, the children are the ones who lose out. They don't get the same educational opportunities that their peers in other areas do. They don't get the same preparation for the university or the world at large.

You concentrate on mathematics, mechanical and electrical engineering and you got my attention.

That's where we compete with the world at large.

Educational opportunities and competition with the world at large in evolution, diversity and sex education? Are you kidding me?

So, to you, the goal of education should be to "compete with the world at large"?

God, you're killing me.

I've spent my entire career around engineers. I spend 10 hours per day with them, every day. I am one myself. What you say just kills me.

Do you understand what education is?

"They don't get the same preparation for the university or the world at large." - is what you said.

I don't want to spend thousands of dollars for things I can do myself.

Chemical, electrical, mechanical engineering, that I will pay for.

Yeah, right. Have you cruised through the poor and higher income disricts in your state? It's the upper class districts that whine like babies about local control. And they're liberals

You know, I just don't know what to say.

I think I've pretty much said all I can, too.

AlmaBound,

For God's sake, branch out. Look at the world, man. Please don't get stuck in that rut you are finding yourself in.
