Whatever might be said about her bias against the church and/or mental state, it really doesn't have relevance to her findings or complaints about this wacko bishop.

The fact is, Radkey found proof that the church was guilty of violating agreements made. She also demonstrated that they had not made a good-faith effort to keep their agreements in the first place. Her personal agenda in blowing the whistle and raising a media stink doesn't excuse the church in any way. If the church doesn't want to be known for embarrassing, inconsiderate things-- the solution is not to do a better job of hiding them from whistle-blowers with agendas-- it's to stop doing things that are embarrassing and inconsiderate or get used to the reputation.

That bishop should not have called her. They are not friends, and she is not a member of the church. Whatever he said or didn't, or whether she interpreted it one way or another doesn't matter. He shouldn't have called and then she wouldn't have anything to talk about.

Shaw is obviously an asshat, and Radkey is a bit of a loon herself. The whole thing is a clownfight, and I can't really summon much indignation either way anymore.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

You are right about this. Calling her was a gem for her because she immediately went to the media to give a report. And most likely, she is using some form of hyperbole to describe the phone call. He should have known better that she would have exploited the phone call for personal attention.

And how is this bishop a wacko? He called her to invite her back into the fold, nothing more. He showed concern for her. But he should have known that she would go to the press with a full report of the conversation. I feel sorry for the guy. He made a mistake by calling her and by showing concern. And she spits in his face. Such is life outside the church when hatred rules the day.
