Adam Sr. Adam Jr. is your best bet for a hypothesis. The overall issue is of no value as neither is LDS doctrine.
BC is still delusional. Or intellectually dishonest. The Challenge stands BC. Find us one, just one person that is is BYs contemporary, that understood BYs AG teachings int he Adam Sr/Jr light. Do that and I will deal with BYs other traditional teachings about Adam, some of which still can fit into AG.

Here is how I see it: if Mormons were allowed to worship freely inside a country that valued freedom, much would have been different. In fact, Mormons were not allowed to be free in their worship and much occured because of it. The hostility from the protestants, as they worshipped on sunday, and burned Mormon property during the other days of the week, implanted a certainl culture into the LDS church. But much would have been different if the LDS church would have been left alone to worship freely. Battle fatigue does have its consequences.
What about all that robbing and pillaging and murdering the Mormons did to the protestants? Didn't that curtail their worship?

Tobin wrote:Actually, Ms Jack nailed the Church with two things (and I'll add a third thing they should do):
1) The Church should just acknowledge that the doctrine taught denying blacks the priesthood was a racist, man-made doctrine and apologize for all those things that were taught and endorsed about it during the years it was believed. It would clear the air and separate the current Church from them. I also don't buy the argument that other Churches should be required to apologize (after all, which is the "true" Church here?!?). Come on Mormons, be the better man.
Blacks were rather well treated as members of the LDS church. I see no reason to apologize. Now if they were given the back pews while whites and others were given the front pews, yes, I can see an apology for that kind of behavior. Back in the day, all sat together in the same pews as equals. At least that was my experience.
Why Me, how long have you been a member of the KKK? Do you get your own hood, or do you have to rent?

Anyways, I'm done responding to your anti-Protestant, anti-me drivel. Protestants piss you off. I piss you off. You're unable to see straight past either of those points. You are a bitter, petty, small-minded man, and I truly feel sorry for you.
And I feel sorry for this forum--having to watch every thread on something related to me, even something in which I say absolutely nothing about Protestantism, turned into one of your screeds on how much you hate Protestants. Even after months of little posting activity from me. It's just pathetic.
To the Rest ~ Now that this thread has been "why me'd," I'll start a thread in Celestial asking for feedback on my post when I actually have some time to discuss it. I'm checking out of this one.
Ms Jack
You just have to ignore why me. His own posts illustrate he is in intellectual light weight and a twit on top of that. Your blog was a fine one. I wish my church would listen. I am not hopeful they will.

I am not pissed off at all. I just made a comment. Nor am I bitter. Nor am I small minded. No reason to feel sorry for me. I read your blog and made my comments. Get over it.

What I said is true. No reason to call me a member of the KKK. Your anti-mormon bias is noted.

Your anti-mormon bias is noted, why me.
