H*ll yes he should be expelled from BYU! I'm surprised anyone could/would think otherwise.
Hopefully, his engagement ended, as well.
Breaking up is often excruciatingly hard to do--but for this student, "parting ways" with both the university and the fiance are likely to be the best things that ever happen to him.

Being twice victimized (by extorter and BYU) does add some symmetry to the Universe, but hopefully the victim will have a couple of good things coming his way as well.
