Sorry to change the subject, but has anyone seen the movie Gold Rush? That guy was great. No wonder he was more popular than Jesus back in the 1920's.

Re: Ordaining Dear Daughter
If the Priesthood is given by one in authority by the physical laying on of hands then women can receive the Priesthood.
If a Bishop say, were to ordain a female 12 year old to the office of Deacon then what then prevents her then having that authority?
What I mean is, is there some kind of physical barrier between the Bishops hands and the females head that isn't present if the recipient is a boy? Or is the laying on of hands not a physical necessity; it's just symbolic of the spiritual authority that humans with the right kind if front bum automatically have when they reach certain ages?
If I as a worthy MP holder were to ordain my 12 year old daughter to the office of Deacon how could anyone else tell if she had it or not if they weren't to know her gender?

Thanks, Drifting.
The very questions I was implying. There is nothing preventing my daughter from receiving the same priesthood power that I have.

Go ahead. Nothing is stopping you. As I said too, it is a meaningless gesture.

So, once she has this priesthood, what do you think she'll do with it? Pass the sacrament, perhaps?

Priesthood must be passed from one mortal to another. Too bad for you if you think that is like a disease.
Maybe you should just leave your daughter in peace and not bother her. It can be confusing for a child.

Did you mean confusing for a child...or confusing for a female child?

Zee goes to his daughter and says to her: now that you are 12, would you like me to give you the priesthood? If she didn't ask, why bother her? That was my point. Leave her in peace.
