If the Church were to "go after", or try to censor every medium guilty of what Limbaugh was, it would never end. Are the media who are boycotting Limbaugh also boycotting other offenders?

Their statement:

AM 770 The Truth is committed to providing its listeners with access to a broad range of opinion and commentary. The contraception debate is one that sparks strong emotion and opinions on both sides of the issue. Radio can be and has been a great platform for a lively exchange of ideas as we seek to provide understanding. In this case, we wish Mr. Limbaugh would have been more civil in his treatment of the topic and his characterization of those involved, but we respect his right, as well as the rights of those who disagree with him, to express those opinions.

Isn't this the exact same thing you guys want from the moderation at the MDD in response to complaints about your posts there?
lol

Left-wing and anti Mormon reaction to this issue is hypocritical until Obama returns Bill Maher's $1 million donation:

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/will-obama-super-pac-return-misogynist-bill-mahers-million-dollar-donation_633200.html

Maher has called Palin a “dumb twat” and dropped the C-word in describing the former Alaska governor. He called Palin and Congresswoman Bachmann “boobs” and “two bimbos.” He said of the former vice-presidential candidate, “She is not a mean girl. She is a crazy girl with mean ideas.” He recently made a joke about Rick Santorum’s wife using a vibrator. Imagine now the same joke during the 2008 primary with Michelle Obama’s name in it, and tell me that he would still have a job. Maher said of a woman who was harassed while breast-feeding at an Applebee’s, “Don't show me your tits!” as though a woman feeding her child is trying to flash Maher. (Here’s a way to solve his problem: don’t stare at a strangers’ breasts). Then, his coup de grâce: “And by the way, there is a place where breasts and food do go together. It’s called Hooters!”

Well, it actually wouldn't make up for all their hypocrisy, but it's a good start.

Good thing Limbaugh did not bad mouth the Church. He would be gone in a flash.

Yes, a very broad range. Here is their lineup:

Laura Ingraham
America's Morning News (Washington Times)
Glenn Beck
Rush Limbaugh
Michael Medved
David Boze
Sean Hannity
John Gibson
Dave Ramsey

That's quite a broad range of opinion. It includes several right-wing men and a right-wing woman. It has a right-wing newspaper show, a right-wing Mormon, a right-wing Jew, and even a local right-winger. I can't even imagine what a wide range of opinions that must provide.

But hey, they do throw in a born-again financial guy for the insomniacs, who signs off every show stating that you can never achieve financial freedom without Jesus Christ.

I have to assume that the guys in the SLC gerontocracy don't know they own this station.

They made KSL radio get rid of Sean Hannity when one of them apparently listened to him and decided the church should not be in the business of promoting the "spirit of contention" they preach against.

KSL once tried a show hosted by a Democrat, perhaps to offset Hannity. The problem was, he actually dared to express a few more liberal ideas. The listeners revolted, and he didn't last a week.

They shut down that dissenting opinion lickety-split.

surely you jest.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

A bit yes. I think that is the company's position, not mine.

It's nice to know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints agrees that women who use birth control are sluts, though.

Limbaugh didn't really call the woman a "slut" either.....
He gave an intellectual analysis and then asked the question, and the question simply resulted in the factual statement that she indeed was a slut.

Leftists however just call people sluts all the time as their daily morals, without any sort of intellectual reasoning.

Limbaugh, like most conservatives, doesn't even understand how birth control works. Some women ARE sluts, as are some men. But what Limbaugh did was call 98% of American women sluts, which would include most of the women you know and love, likely. Glad you're cool with that.
