Debate with the Left is all but impossible, as they simply will not do so. All that remains is to defeat them in the political sphere (as they long ago lost all their intellectual arguments in the marketplace of ideas) and restrain their long term, inter-generational project to destroy individual liberty, limited government, property rights, free market economic relations, the family, marriage, and gospel moral standards.

Since the Constitution is just a god damn piece of paper, isn't the flag then just a god damn piece of cloth?

Seriously, I understand the values that it is supposed to represent and I find the real desecration of it in the reckless use of our military. Our brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, etc have been sent to die in third world countries for the sake of paranoia and war profiteering for decades.

In light of that, it really is just a god damn piece of cloth.

There are far worse things to be upset over. Be thankful you weren't born on the wrong side of an American military action designed to "bring you democracy". Be even more thankful that you weren't born on the wrong side (or the "right" side) of an actual brutal dictatorship or genocide.

Anyway, it was interesting to see the lefties here run, arms flailing, into the hills looking for some response to the OP. Finding none, they resorted to unattributed photos of unknown persons, apparently "conservative" in nature, mixing it up - without quotes or attribution - with liberals.

All of my examples were of public, and many major public leftist pundits, journalists, and intellectuals. I won't leave the light on waiting for any counterexamples from the Cartoon Carnival Left.
