Though I also can accept certain variations on what "translation" can mean.

Oh, of course! The City of Enoch was "translated," and so was Moses! So he just means that the golden plates were taken up to heaven!

And how does one translate German into Spanish? Can an ignorant prophet do that, with a little help from God? Perhaps.

Holland said that the Book of Abraham was translated but doesn't know how it was done. Well, it's simple. You take Egyptian and translate it into English. But in order to do that you have to understand the writings of both languages. It's damn obvious that Joe Smith only knew one and the other was fabrications in his own mind. Holland-boy doesn't know a damn thing about it and he's supposed to be educated. Good grief. He's a dodo and a liar. A damn ugly one too.

The translations offered by Joseph Smith in the scriptures of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are utterly wrong and totally unEgyptian. Poor Joseph Smith. He didn't know the Egyptian language and all of his spiritual gifts let him down. His presentation was a total disaster and makes the church look real bad. The church leaders don't like to talk about Facsimile No. 3 because they don't have a testimony of it and they know just how bad it makes the church look. So, they don't talk about it.

It's positive proof that Mormon revelation is a joke and a lie. I defy all Mormons to refute this. They can't. If they try, I'll roast them a new one. Bring on John Gee. Bring on all of BYU. Holland and company should just acknowledge that. If the Book of Abraham is true, it must be an origin story and could not possibly have come from translating any Egyptian papyrus.
