The girl who played soccer on Sunday and felt horrible

Post by _DarkHelmet »

Do you think the bad feelings she felt had anything to do with guilt for going against teachings that were piled on her for years and years, or do you think the Holy Ghost left her because she played on Sunday?

I'd say whatever the cause, it would be quite similar to the source of guilt for a Jehovah's Witness who gives into peer pressure and says the pledge of allegiance.

I think the girl realized that she enjoyed soccer on Sunday much more than church on Sunday. Her upbringing caused her to believe that Satan had entered her heart and caused her to enjoy Sunday soccer. That caused her to feel horrible guilt. What kind of person admits to herself that she likes soccer better than church?

Personally I believe that creator of the universe wanted this girl to feel bad about herself for playing games on his holy day.

Would she have felt bad if she was playing on Sunday in the backyard with her brothers and sisters? And parents?

I love to wander through Amish country on Sunday afternoons watching all of the Amish playing softball and volleyball together as families.

Perhaps she felt horrible because she sucked at being goalie?

Is the girl symbolic or is she real?

What about the countless hoards who play soccer in a Sunday and feel great about it?

considering that she played soccer, I'd say both. God will only be pushed so far.

In order to be successful at basketball, one must be tall. In order to be successful at soccer, one must be an athlete.

There, I said it.

The Holy Ghost played goalie for the away team. He's a treacherous entity that will use everything in his bag of tricks to get the clean sheet.
