LDS that believe in Pre-Adamites simply believe that the "Israel" line of souls is a different or special line of souls. We suspect it's the Godly line from the Father, specially chosen as the lights of the world. Pre-Adamites were simply the "children of men", while Adamites were children of God. Of course, today the children of men are mixed with the children of God genetically speaking, thus any can come into Israel if they spiritually are of God.

You conveniently forget that Adam/Eve were "cast out" Into the Lone and Dreary World, and the Flaming Sword was placed so they would not live forever in their sin.

In other words, there WAS death in the world for some time before Adam/Eve left the Garden.
