Mormon Dialouge - Moderation Undefined

Post by _jskains »

What a bunch of childish buffoons. I think it is time for that board to be replaced. It no longer moderates, but rather censors. It's funny the differences. Here the moderation is often non-existant, and over there it is too extreme.

So I made a statement obviously one of the immature moderators didn't like. So they banned me from the thread. Yet Wade, who went off on his own comments, was allowed to comment all he wants.

I got annoyed, and commented how what the moderator did was wrong. Especially since the moderator was a coward and didn't even post his/her name. And now I am banned from the entire board.

I think the reality is childish people like Nemesis were fat nerds in school who were beat up regularly by the local jocks and this is their way to massage their egos. Oh dear, we can't allow people to question our all-powerful moderation! Some one might see that we aren't moderating dialogue, we are controlling it! How can a board be taken seriously that throws temper tantrums and randomly bans people they don't like?

I can see Nemesis now, laughing, wringing his hands, giddy at his bully nature.

LDS Thugs.

Also, why does everyone lick Nemesis's boots? What the heck is so special about him and that board? Everyone just accepts his dicatorship rule as if it is some frigging privilege to be over there.

If everyone would just stand up to him and his thugs, the board would wither and Nemesis's small digital empire would crumble.

I haven't been reading there long, but it seems a couple of the members there such as Pahoran and Wade have a free pass to be as dickish as they please.

What pisses me off, is that people over there seem to agree the moderation is too far, but it's like "oh my God, I can't dare rock Nemesis's boat".

A board should be run for the advantage of the posters, not the advantage of the board runners. Without posters, the board would cease to exist.

Someone put some powerful ego into that boy's head.

Can't argue with that widely applicable sentiment.

I disagreed with the assumption that Same Sex marriage would be added to the LDS Theology any more than any other non-standard sexual ideology would.

But that didn't get me banned from the board, that got me banned from the thread. What got me banned from the board was the fact I stood up to my thread banning. I didn't lick Nemesis's boots.

Their policy of "don't agrue with the moderators" is some form of totalitarianism. So when the moderation is unbalanced, cliquish, or just plain censorship, that's ok. You can't question it.
