Also they assumed I was comparing pedophilia with homosexuality (in the thread) which I wasn't, but Wade took it all dark and went on his own, but I didn't see him getting banned from the thread OR the board.

But that didn't get me banned from the board, that got me banned from the thread. What got me banned from the board was the fact I stood up to my thread banning. I didn't lick Nemesis's boots.

Their policy of "don't agrue with the moderators" is some form of totalitarianism. So when the moderation is unbalanced, cliquish, or just plain censorship, that's ok. You can't question it.

That seems unfair, seeing as how Wade basically called all gay people pedophiles.

Reminds me of my first interaction with Internet Mormonism, when Juliann got bent cause I was new, living in San Francisco, completely overwhelmed with internet Mormonism, and DARED ask some questions on FAIR.

There are some people more interested with pushing their Pro-Mormon agenda and getting attention than genuinely helping people.

Wade very explicitly compared gays with child molesters. I can't figure out why they go so easy on Wade. Is he considered a "capital A" apologist now? If so, they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel. He's never addresses any critical (or other) arguments whatsoever. His entire posting history is snark made slightly difficult to understand by his learning disability.

The Church of FAIR is primarily interested in promoting/defending itself. The church is secondary.

I agree. I think the Church should careful itself on using FAIR. I hope the new material where the Church addresses hard issues does not use FAIR as its only source.

They give Wade his free passes, you have a wife, kid, and a career so you can take the banning. Wade on the other hand, will probably die alone.

I of course was banned again (today) first time I have posted on that board in a year or so. They are a very difficult crowd. One cannot have a difference in opinion even if it is done in a civil manner. Oh well. Not like I missed those people. They are generally some of the worst of the LDS.

The moderation there is defined about as well as Church doctrine.
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."

That board, single handily crushed my testimony.
