I really don't want Romney to be elected, but Lawrence O'Donnell isn't helping. He just misstates things and does it in an ugly, visceral way that alienates anyone that listens to him. I just wish he'd stick to attacking Romney's policies and idiotic statements and stop the religious attacks.

What would be an example of a religion that wasn't invented?

I like his nexus for Mormonism
"Mormonism was created by a guy in upstate New York in 1830 when he got caught having sex with the maid and explained to his wife that God told him to do it," O'Donnell said on his MSNBC show. "Forty-eight wives later, Joseph Smith's lifestyle was completely sanctified in the religion he invented to go with it. Which Mitt Romney says he believes."

Yeah, O'Donnell comes off as a total douche, but once again, like in the youtube video, the comments show a complete lack of understanding from the TBMs. They have no idea what O'Donnell is talking about, as if he pulled it out of his ass. What happens when they stumble upon some apologetic article on the Fanny Alger affair and realize O'donnell was partially correct about the maid? This is the tip of the iceberg. The Obama election machine from Chicago is going to pull out a lot of dirt tricks, and Mormonism will not be spared from their attacks. I would expect a lot more of this type of attack, exaggerations and distortions based on facts. Not all of the details are true, but if the TBM does any research, they might find that these "ugly lies" are exaggerations and distortions of ugly facts.

They won't... do any research, I mean. They'll chalk all of these sorts of things up to Satan influencing the press, and will ignore it all.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
