A person's religion should not make any difference. It is when that religion has teachings that encourage/ignore bad behavior, and don't contribute positively to the individual's mental health, and the health of the society, that the beliefs of that religion should be challenged.
I obviously don't have problems with NOM's. They see the sick aspects of it, and try to transcend it.
Is religious bigotry even a thing?

Yep. Religions (in my view) are fair game for criticism without calling the doubters "bigots" (or Anti-Mormon). If they are true, they shouldn't mind a little close inspection.
Personally, I really don't have problems with any Mormons. They can believe whatever they like and it has no effect on me. I would be happier if they could move beyond the two hundred year old con game, but whatever. I do not like being called Anti-Mormon, though. I think it may be just talking points for the apologists.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Obviously, given my background, I would trust a TBM about two inches. But that is just because of my experiences.
However, it takes time to assess into which camp the person falls.

If - and only if - that religion is not Mormonism or islam.
OK, islam is a little worse. They decapitate the apostates.

...there is no need to hate a people because their beliefs are different. I mean that dislike of a religion or philosophy doesn't make one a bigot.
'Love the Mormon, hate the morminism' seems fair enough.
They have a similar phrase for me and my friends.
