This post likely won't make any sense...

Post by _zeezrom »

The artifacts of Mormonism are embedded in my person. There is no way to erase them.

Trying to let it all go must cause problems if your loved ones don't share in your new opinions and convictions. My search for the sacred is now hidden from ridicule while I watch people around me proclaim their beliefs with gusto.

I need a God to turn to. There isn't anyone else so what can a person do?

Will you be happy if I just go along with it all? Will my life find peace then?

God, I hate this institution sometimes. Why did it ever have to start, Joseph? Why?

God, help me stop hating.

Sorry zeez feel better.

Sorry you're feeling ripped up. 'Tis the season of new beginnings. Hang tight.

You have your wife and children on your side, right? That should be enough. Other relatives are concerned for you and they show it in the way they are showing it. They mean no harm. See the positive in it.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

Perhaps you should have gone into weapons, but obviously, you're a people person. Quark has some very good advice for you:

I would agree that the LDS Church, your only hope for salvation, is a bit like root beer. Bubbly, cloying, happy, and......insidious.

This is exactly the kind of psychological toll the Church likes to inflict on those who leave.

Keep drinking the kool-aide bc. Slug it down.

Denial is not just a river in Egypt, it is a river of kool-aide circulating through bc's veins.

Zeez if you are tempted to go back, just remember when you do..... swap your 15 year old daughter to some leader with 20 some odd other wives for guaranteed exaltation and eternal lives for you and yours.
