lulu...It's been a while since I visited this question, but I know that there was interest among early Mormons in the British Israelites. I think both George Miller and Don Bradley have done some investigation of this. Pm'ing either of them may lead you somewhere...

I really only remember Masonic references from The Man Who Would Be King. It was proof to me at the time that the Church was true. (Worse, it was even more of a proof because of a complex theory I'd formulated in my addled, adolescent brain.)

EVERY human being is somehow related to Jesus, no person any more or less. That is why so many of us can identify with His Suffering and have hope in the Resurrection.

Technically every person is earthly related to Adam and Noah. Jesus is just a distant cousin.
