I watched a show on History Channel called "How the States Got Their Shapes". It had a long segment about Deseret/Utah. After watching it, I decided that, in many ways, Deseret still exists. Mormons are the dominant power in most of the area Brigham Young claimed for his proposed state of Deseret.

I don't think that Deseret and North Korea have much at all in common. Deseret was and continues to be a fully capitalist empire.
I do think that Mormons continue to regard themselves as first and foremost citizens of Deseret, then as Americans.

Not to mention FREE..... Inclusive of others, balanced, educated, etc. etc.
The perverted anti-mormon mind never ceases to amaze me how they attribute things to Mormonism and Mormons which is NOT EVEN OR EVER CLOSE to what it/we are.
Lord I cringe that I was once even "partially" that stupid and immoral. :(

Nah. It will be one giant Pinterest fest.

Um, no. If you know anything about rural utah, its a culture of servitude to the local priesthood leaders who JUST happen to usually own the land you farm on.

You forget that we used to be Mormon. I know how you think and I can anticipate every petty and childish tactic that Mormons throw out. that's why Mormons hate us exmo's so much, because we are always ten steps ahead of you and proving you wrong at every turn.
