Why do you continue using quotes from unofficial sources? Of course some atheists in the past have said hurtful things, but they were just opinions. None of what you have quoted is official atheist doctrine.

You say things like this like all atheists are supposed to know who Higgs Boson is. We don't. Atheists are not an organized religion with official leaders, unlike Mormons who have an actual hierarchy and bureaucracy. Actually I'd say most atheists would reject organized religion as part of their atheism (Englishmen who build temples not withstanding).

Again, verbal "attacking," right? The same way LDS missionaries are just going to keep on attacking non-Mormonism until they get rid of it? You might say LDS missionaries have an extermination order against non-Mormons.

Josh, which is worse, the "verbal violence" inflicted by, say, a Danish newspaper comic that mocks Mohammed? Or the actual, physical violence perpetrated by your fellow theists in response?

Except that we are not a collective group of people with a common goal. It's preposterous to keep saying "Atheists want this or that," when, in fact, we generally have nothing to do with each other. It's not like I get together with my Atheist friends and talk about how stupid religion is.

However, when theists blatantly attack science and reason, and try to infiltrate state institutions, (i.e. try to get the christian version of creationism taught in public schools), then I have every right as a citizen and a father to stand against them.

"Religion is like a penis...I don't care if you have one, but don't waive it around in my face, and don't try to shove it down my kid's throat at school."
