Christianity is a historical accident
I was in Rome on Good Friday, and it occured to me how different things would be if Constantine had not adopted Christianty as the state religion.

Since it is the concept of the week, this also technically an argument from Ignorance.
And the flaw here is that not only is there an assumption that society would accept it, but that it would have continued beyond Rome. Some religions have not survived beyond their controlling empires.
You also assume you'd be an Atheist, which is also flawed. The butterfly effect is an insense reality. The one change you mentioned would have caused massive differences in history.
Hell, you might not even exist.

no.
Mithrism had plenty of opportunity to recomend iteself to the empire. It had plenty of opportunity to recomend itself as the empire fell apart. People choose for reasons of preference.

Haha Drifting I wondered the same thing.
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

Oh, please. That is a finger. Good grief.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

My eighth-grade Ancient History teacher (a good Episcopalian) said it was such a miracle that Christianity survived that the best explanation was that it was Divine Providence.

That's funny. I wonder what the Book of Mormon would have been like if Joseph Smith was a Mithraist.

Probably a lot like the Book of Abraham.
