A Masonic thing, but broader than that? The hymn Jerusalem seems pretty all inclusive, at least for the English.
Masonry was predominant among the upper classes-- all those men's clubs--get into some of the more obscure short stories of Kipling, for example. Permeated.
I see that point now too. Thanks for the tips, leads and ideas.
And thanks to Blixa, too.

"And the human knew the source of life, the woman of him, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, 'I have procreated a man with Yahweh.'" Gen. 4:1, interior quote translated by D. Bokovoy.
The new wine is obviously not fermented when it "hangs in the clusters." Also, you admit that it has more than one meaning in the New Testament also. The fact remains that the Bible condemns drunkenness, although there are many who want to rationalize this just as they want to rationalize other immoral behaviors. And yes, of course, Jesus was a God in the pre-existence, but then, as well as when He became a mortal and gained a body, He was still progressing as a God. That's why He needed to marry. One can't have spirit children, or any kind of children for that matter without a partner. That is also why He called His Heavenly Father "the only true God"!

Progressing huh? How then did he do all things from the beginning? Without him was nothing made. By the word of his power we shall all be the children of Christ called forth on the day of resurrection. By the word of his power commanding Adam and Eve we are counted the children of God. By the word of his power commanding Adam and Eve in their exaltation we are there too counted the children of God born into spirit bodies. By the word of his power we were called forth in the Morning of creation to the appointment of independent spheres of existence in the organization of intelligences. And by the word of God's power some few are conceived out of a fallen world to salvation as the children of the Kingdom of God, Only these are his seed of whom he has conceived unto himself of grace and truth. These few shall inherit a seat at the right hand of the Highest.
To denigrate Christ is to lack sufficient faith in him to be truly born of him in power and the regeneration of the gospel. Get the first works and let's see what you come up with next.
In all these births we cry Abba Father to the Very Eternal Father of heaven and earth which is Jesus Christ our Maker. In none of them does he act carnally or sensually but spiritually. For all things are spiritual unto him. Do no impute to God that which is below him. The seeds are not of God and are of men both in earth life as in exaltation.
How is He progressing? Ok, I'll tell you. First, He was an intelligence who was "the Firstborn" spirit child of Heavenly Father. He progressed as a spirit until He attained "godhood," and was subsequently given priesthood authority and authorized by His Heavenly Father to create all things that were created at that time. He later, as is the plan for all of Heavenly Father's children, came to the earth to gain His physical body and become more like His Heavenly Father. He also did something that none of us could do, and that was to work out the perfect atonement for us all. However, He himself realized that He did not know all things, including even when He would return to the earth again. He also realized that He had more progressing to do, and exclaimed that His Heavenly Father was the "ONLY TRUE GOD," meaning that He was the only God who had reached His Full potential and could have His own spirit children, among other things. He will continue to progress until He becomes just as His Heavenly Father, creating more worlds for His own spirit children.

I got the Quinn books. Should keep me busy for a while. I will read the Kipling short story for comic relief. It is the one I was thinking about. I also have a Wilbur Smith for dramatic relief.
And ordered Kohlberg to examine the morally juvenile culture which Mormon royalty imposes on the naïve faithful.
AACH!!

"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." Revelation 12:10

I heard a loud voice from heaven too. I increased my medication and it went away. Are psychotropics the Anti-Christ?

“‘I won’t make a Nation,’ says he. ‘I’ll make an Empire! These men aren’t niggers; they’re English! Look at their eyes — look at their mouths. Look at the way they stand up. They sit on chairs in their own houses. They’re the Lost Tribes, or something like it, and they’ve grown to be English. I’ll take a census in the spring if the priests don’t get frightened. There must be a fair two million of ’em in these hills. The villages are full o’ little children. Two million people — two hundred and fifty thousand fighting men — and all English! They only want the rifles and a little drilling.
There is the quote from "Man who would be King" that really points at it being a humorous takeoff from the American Masonic religion. They meet with a much more tragic end than Joseph and Hyrum.

Did they meet with a more tragic end than Christ's mortal life? Anyhow, false religions come and will go, but the kingdom Daniel foresaw will stand forever, and I am glad to be a part of that!
