This is one of the reasons I have difficulty with current attempts by the Church to quash learning about other religions and especially about the LDS religion.

And if I remember correctly Desseret Books had Rough Stone Rolling and other books that would be unconventional. Also, I believe that Jensen stated that the LDS church needs to embrace its history more and address the issues that concern members.
