What do you call a President who took office, and within two years had taken a 7.2% unemployment rate and turned it into a 10.8% rate, holding it above 10% for 10 months in a row, and it still hadn't returned to the rate he started with after almost 4 years in office?
Well for starters the stimulus plan worked:

It stopped job losses, stabilized the labor force, and slowly got jobs going positive again. Those early months of 2009 when Obama was nominally President belong firmly to George Bush II's policy.
As this graph shows unemployment is slowly trickling down:

Now after that what is Obama to do if the Republicans are going to filibuster everything? Remember during the State of the Union speech he proposed a 60$ billion dollar Jobs Bill that got squashed. When he tried a "grand bargain" with Republicans to create a deal to cut both military and domestic spending the Republicans walked away from the deal they agreed to. They have been undermining him at every opportunity, so the anemic economy has basically been on "autopilot" since the do? The Great Depression lasted ten years! This Recession is probably going to take another 3-5 years to reach full recovery.
Even Vice President Joe Biden acknowledges that it’s time to hold the Obama administration’s feet to the fire for the sorry state of the U.S. economy instead of continuing to blame President George W. Bush.
Got a source on that?
How about you stop worshipping the worst thing that
has ever happened to this country. It might not ALL be his fault but the
majority of it is. Stop being close-minded to change and open your eyes
to the person who has a better chance of saving this country than ever
before.
So Mitt Romney's plan is to cut taxes further for the wealthy and offset those cuts in revenue by transforming Medicare into a voucher program, and defunding programs for the poor, old, sick and young while increasing funding for the military? That's the blueprint for fixing this country? Really? Tax cuts and more military spending? That's exactly what got us into this problem in the first place.
Whatever appears to be against the Book of Mormon is going to be overturned at some time in the future. So we can be pretty open minded.-charity 3/7/07
