Bob's stalking, lying, and overall crazy behavior was documented in an epic thread titled "What About Bob" but, unfortunately, Bob threatened the board and Dr. Shades with a lawsuit if it wasn't deleted.

Since that thread was deleted under duress by the moderators, I lack the motivation to do it again.

This thread (until Bob has it deleted, too) speaks for itself:

Joseph Smith took advantage of anonymity, supposedly to avoid legal liability, not just harassment. How do you judge Joseph Smith on that point?

I don't think it was necessary for Joseph Smith to have used a pseudonym since even his enemies knew who was doing what, and so I wouldn't have agreed with it had I been asked. I wasn't.

That's an interesting analysis of the utility of Joseph's legal strategy in choosing anonymity, but it's not an answer to my question. How do you judge Joseph Smith on that point?

I suffer from an aversion to jargon.

That's exactly my point. Jesus didn't have an aversion to jargon. He sought ultimate understanding before undertaking to judge people, and Mormons believe his miraculous effort achieve empathy was necessary, under the eternal laws of heaven, to make those judgments. In that context, as a believing Mormon, why do you go on the internet and judge people as you do?

I recall that epic thread. Bob did not come out looking too good, which is precisely what he deserved based on the behavior on this board documented therein.

Jersey Girl threatens the board with litigation and is banned. Bot threatens the board with litigation, has the tread about him deleted, and is still here. Do I have this right?

That's nice of you to say, but I only pretend to be smart. I'm really just an anonymous hypocrite foolishly kicking against the pricks.

I'm glad you started this topic. I'm sure we will all come to a consensus on it soon. Just a couple more pages...

It would seem that Jersey has real friends in management to get this special treatment.

I think the thread could be restarted since now the current policy is that threatening ligation will get you punted from the board.

There are many things I wouldn't say here if my in real life identity was known to all.
