I think that you are getting up there in age Ray. I do believe that the young bucks in their 20's may be getting an eye full, especially at Bondi beach. But of course, that is a beach. However, Aussie gals can be pretty hot and I am sure that the more revealingly dressed women do get their fair share of looks and thoughts.

How long has it been since you've been laid?

Spoken like an old fogey. Now Runtu, lets go back to the good ol' days when you were 22. Did you have a problem?

This whole concept of modesty is a cultural artifact.

Exactly. Which is why I found it funny that Susan says modesty is timeless. The quote from 1913 as if those standards of modesty are anything like modern standards is hilarious.

How old are you? We need to remember that this is a college where we have hormones flying around in all directions. What were you looking at at 22? Her eyes?

I was just a normal 22 year old guy in NYC. Plenty of skin to look at. For any guy on this forum to tell me that they never looked at a women's bottom wearing tight jeans when they were 22 is a liar. Also, if she was wearing a revealing blouse, he just looked at her eyes as she walked by is a liar.

A 22 year old guy is a 22 year old guy.

It's nice having why me on my ignore list because I have no idea as to the context of his statement.

But to answer your question, no, I didn't have a problem. When I was 22, it had been about 5 years since I had tampered with the little factory, and I was so naïve and afraid of lusting that I usually looked away, but if I didn't I'd feel terribly guilty about it. I was so inexperienced that on my honeymoon, I told my wife that her nether regions looked different from what I had expected. I know. TMI.

But, yes, I was a sheltered little Mormon boy afraid of doing anything even remotely wrong.

Which is why you are now out of the church. You needed to relax and loosen up a little. We easterners had no problem with looking. The secret is not to lust but to admire.

Probably one lesson age has taught me is that what's hot on the outside, often isn't "hot" (personality wise) on the inside. I think it's fair to say that Mormon missionaries in Australia have a hard time in summer (I'm sounding like Confucius now). I certainly did, but that's basically because I was "chained" 24/7/365 to repulsive hairy males (Paul would disagree) giving orders. Nevertheless, I survived - just. When you're tied into restrictions like that, the temptations are greater.
