It depends on how one defines lustful thoughts. Lustful thoughts can be very disrespectful to the one receiving them. Also, lustful thoughts if they turn into lustful actions, can be very exploiting of the person getting them. It becomes body as object and not body as subject. Now attractive is more respectful and there is no exploitation in such thoughts. Attraction can signify a future partner because the person has respect for that person that he or she is attracted to.

We all have lustful thoughts. But they may not be healthy. Much better to have attractive thoughts. Let me put it this way: would you want a young man to lust after your daughter or would you rather have him find your daughter attractive? Which do you think would be more healthier?

When someone sees beauty in the opposite sex, one should thank god for creating such a beautiful person. Nothing wrong with admiring beauty.

The definition of lust that I am using is "to have intense sexual desire."

I would certainly hope that the partners my children choose have intense sexual desire towards them (and vice versa).

I don't really see the point in mating with someone you don't feel intense sexual desire towards, but maybe that's just me.

I am not sure about intense sexual desire after 10 years of marriage. But attraction can certainly last. And there needs to be more to a sexual marriage besides lust.

I think that you would want the person who loves your daughter or son to have respect for your child and treat her or him accordingly. And have such love that would make the sexual experience mutual enjoyable for both.

And I think that this is the point behind modest dress: to elicit good emotions at the expense of the negative.

The issue is that there is pretty extreme backlash for being sexually aroused if you are a guy.

An example is a middle school local to my city. They banned the skin tight yoga pants when worn without some sort of skirt or cover. Of course the girls complained that it was against their rights, and that boys should learn to deal with it,, control themselves etc.

The reasoning from the administrators is that the pants caused unnecessary distraction.

If the guys are constantly having to focus on hiding involuntary erections then they become very distracted. But they have girls telling them to control themselves, stop being horny, it's their fault, etc when in reality a big boner when a teacher forces you to stand up in class is the last thing a guy wants due to the consequences.

I suggest we begin erection awareness days around middle schools to address the problem. On this day all the boys can walk around without having to spend the day hiding the boners they pop whenever they catch a glimpse of the class hotty's booty and boobs.

I don't know if anyone else remembers what it's like to 13, but it doesn't matter how the girls dress, you're going to get several involuntary boners throughout the day. You have to always be carrying something so you can hold it over your crotch, just in case.

I remember sitting in the waiting room as we would watch the girls through the big glass wall do baptisms for the dead. Did our youth leaders know how hard it was for us to continue reading D&C while this was going on? Strangely enough, most boys would only look up about when it was time for a girl to get out of the font. The water made those white jump suits skin tight!
