"Do you think Romney is a hypocrite for attending a pro basketball game on a Sunday?"
Romney won't atlk religion, so we should just assume he has no religion to talk about.

"Pastor" Romney has been running away from his religion since he began his campaign. Perhaps he though it would be quieter there and no one would notice him.

People do all sorts of things on sunday. For the LDS, it is an individual choice if they wish to keep the sabbath holy or not. Also, many have their own definitions on what is holy and what should or should not do.
The LDS church does allow free choice and free will.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

The church is not a cult. One can do what one wants. No problem with going to a basketball game if that is what he wants to do.

bcspace wrote:Charles Barkley spouted the left wing mantra regarding it. Something akin to "if I can't see you, you can't see me". He did admit Romney was a nice guy though. My own opinion is that Sir Charles is racist in the same way most blacks who voted for Obama are; they voted for him because he is black (only half). CB can't maintain his entourage and standing with the NAACP whores without making public gaffes like this though he might himself secretly vote for Romney in November.
Nice derail bcspace.
However, getting back to the OP.
Do you think Romney attending the game on a Sunday was in line with LDS teachings?

Me, I don't care what he does on Sunday, but I did find it mildly interesting.
Famous Mormons always get a free pass on rules otherwise designated for standard members. Not having to wear garments, not being required to attend Cult meetings on Sunday - or attending or performing in any kind of public event is also allowed.
That kind of thing is reserved for chapel Mormons.
The benefit is the Cult can tout that someone famous is Mormon. See, Mormons aren't a peculiar people.

Yeah, I think most LDS believe that the ten commandments are optional. I'm sure if you actually attended a Mormon church and asked people they would agree with you. In fact, I'm not even sure if the ten commandments are official doctrine. Did the stone tablets have a church copyright on them when Moses brought them down from the mountain? BC Space?
