Fast Offerings? Really? What could they possibly get $15.00 and a bunch of excuses?

Shame on those boys!! It would have better that they died protecting that money than to give it up.

Obviously they were hard up for some quick cash to buy drugs. They figured kids would be an easy target to rob and there would be no repercussion for their robbery. It was a stupid thing to do. They should have thought this through more seriously before committing this crime. Both of them will be tied up in legal problems for quite a while and their lives are now really screwed up as they sit in jail pondering what to do. I feel sorry for them. I feel sorry for their famiies who now have to worry about them in jail and all the pain that follows.

I don't feel sorry for the people who lost their checks to the river. They can write new ones to the church. They've lost nothing.

Now, for the boys who got robbed. I feel sorry for them too. I'm sure it was an eye opening experience for them and they will be able to tell this story for years to come and I'm sure it will become quite a tale in the future as it exagerates into the heroic power of the Aaronic priesthood in action. It might even become a story in a conference talk some day. That's Mormonism.
